Santa goes to town

Those of you on our current Christmas card list should have received this year’s fold-it-yourself origami style greeting this morning*. “Why have one fold when you can have nine?” we thought, although if you had trouble following the “simple instructions” you might not agree!

*More Santas are available upon request, or you can download and print your own.

Well, we hope your Santa turned out OK and if you fancy a chance to win a lovely festive food hamper, just email a pic of the little guy to santa@coolboxcreative.com. (Please include relevant contact details in your email to ensure that we can get the hamper to you if you’re successful.)

All of Santa’s adventures can be viewed here.

Competition terms & conditions:

  1. The professionally creative amongst you might be at an unfair advantage if we were to ‘judge’ entries, so the winner of the hamper will be picked by the ‘names in the hat’ prize draw method. 1.1 However, we will be very impressed by entries that score highly in any of the following areas: Humour, Initiative, Originality, Festiveness.
  2. Maximum of one prize draw entry per person.
  3. Entries close next Monday 14th December at 5pm.
  4. The draw will be made (and witnessed by an official adjudicator) on Tuesday 15th December. The winner will be notified immediately to arrange delivery of the hamper.

Good luck everybody!

And the Winner is…

Thanks to all who entered our little Santa competition, we hope you had lots of fun with him! Santa has had a busy couple of weeks, travelling to some far flung destinations including Paris, Bruges and even West Africa!

Well we’ve just drawn a lucky entrant from our Christmas bobble hat, and we’re pleased to announce that Helen Liddell-Grainger from Wordplay is this year’s winner! You can see Helen’s photograph here along with the rest of the entries on our Flickr group. Congratulations Helen, the Christmas hamper will be making its way to you very soon!

Awesome idea, love it. My only dabble with origami is in making little paper dinosaurs and the instructions on those could be extradinarily cryptic. I look forward to seeing the little paper blighters in suitably festive locations!

  2. Sue Lindwall says:

I LOVE this, although I secretly want it to be judged as I am quietly confident!! Can’t you change the rules…? Santa wants you to!

  3. Neil A says:

Just made my origami santa. Fantastic idea guys, well done! :-)

  4. Nick says:

Thanks everyone, glad you liked it! Announcing the winner shortly… :)

  5. Good post. I just found this Origami-inspired Twitter icon at Digg, which you can use on your blog if it is running WordPress.
